Sometimes at this time of year all you really want to hear are some good, old-fashioned carols.
Ottawa’s own Stairwell Carollers, under the direction of Pierre Massie, have released what may be the nicest collection of the year on their own label. It might even be the definitive Christmas CD, including just about every familiar traditional carol from O Come All Ye Faithful to We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The singing and the recorded sound make this a winner.
